HTV WALES REGIONAL SCHOOLS STANDBY AND 'LOOKING FORWARD' TITLES - MONDAY 16 MARCH 1987
http://ping.fm/Aya2c

From Monday 16 March 1987, part of an HTV Wales startup and schools standby. The announcer (who is she?) welcomes us to HTV and a line-up slide showing the morning's schools programmes is shown, accompanied by Johnny Patrick's 'Arts and Crafts' which was on the schools interval tape that term. Then they cut quite clumsily to a local VT version of the schools clock, accompanied by Jim Stokoe and Errol Reid's track 'Around the Clock' (which had been the network clock tune the previous term). The networked schools standby wasn't shown, because the first programme that morning was a regional opt-out, 'Looking Forward', while the rest of the network saw 'Picture Box' (shown only once a week on HTV Wales that term). The opening titles to 'Looking Forward' are included. I'm not sure what would have preceeded this sequence at start-up, possibly an HTV aerial ident and the 'New HTV Theme' - anyone in the know? Thanks to Simon Luxton for this footage, which was recorded in North Devon, hence the snowy picture.
